A second Eiffel Tower has appeared in Paris

Seeing double?

A miniature version of the Paris’ most iconic landmark created by Philippe Maindron has been installed on the Champ-de-Mars in the center of Paris. The replica is one-tenth the size of the original Eiffel Tower and will be on display until April 10th.

The idea, according to Maindron, is to build a 1/10 scale replica of the Eiffel Tower to create a moment of lightness and carefree happiness. The replica is assembled in Vendée and weighs 32 tons and stands at 33 meters high.

Named “Eiffela”, the replica will continue to provide a moment of levity for those who visit until April 10th. It’s worth noting that the Eiffel Tower, named after its engineer Gustave Eiffel, is a beloved symbol of Paris and one of the most recognizable landmarks in the world.
