A new seaside collection by Givenchy brings the luxurious essence of the French Riviera to life. The French brand has debuted a swim and beachwear capsule of ready-to-wear garments and accessories ahead of summer season.
The collection reimagines the brand’s signature elements and introduces essential accessories like the straw-basket Voyou bag, Marshmallow wedges, and G-Tote shoppers.
Matthew M. Williams, Givenchy’s creative director, speaks about the allure of the South of France: “Monsieur de Givenchy adored Les Clos Florentina for its natural beauty and relaxed elegance. I aimed to capture that essence through light and Conor, particularly the pearly pink facades characteristic of the region.”

Exploring Givenchy’s archives, Williams discovered the founding couturier’s inaugural swimwear, revealed at a 1952 New York event. A pastel color scheme emphasizes the collection’s versatile as well as layerable pieces. Linen bikinis and coverups in black or sandy beige are accompanied by a bob hat or the season’s raffia Givenchy tote, marking Williams’ swimwear design debut.
Nautical stripes that are the very antithesis of the French marinière make an appearance, as do sun-faded jean shorts.
Elsewhere, the collection features resort-style T-shirts, ocean blue garments made from regenerative cotton poplin and crisp white separates that take going from the beach to the restaurant a real breeze.
